A really lovely old book store with plenty of interesting titles. The interior invites for extended book browses, the sofa in the middle is super comfy. But be aware of the collection being pushed in a very liberal corner, so no surprise that they support that black-lives-thing and have the rainbow flag flying. Anyhow, I bought some nice books about local history.

Gorgeous book store with amazing finds if you're willing to dig. I came in for the books and left with an old 1800's map of a British district for my mom and a printed in the 1800's philosophy book for my dad. They also have some beautiful prints. Definitely worth a look.

One of the best bookstores in Charlottesville! Always has the most warm and welcoming vibe, and the woman that we usually see is always so kind. Plenty of different selections from different genres, and the prices are fair!

I went in to this shop on last Tuesday, the first day of the latest of what seem to be developing into semi-annual visits to Charlottesville. As usual, I left the shop with my wallet lighter, but carrying a book. I also had them mail three books home for me, as my luggage resembled a Tetris layout, every cubic inch accounted for. I got home the following Monday, yesterday, and the package was there waiting for me. Their attention to the details of entrusting packages to the heavy-handed brutality of USPS media mail was amazing. Each book was individually wrapped and then the box was secured with nothing inside given the slightest opportunity to shift or slide. See you in the spring, Blue Whale, and Charlottesville.

Cute little book store on the mall. Very cozy with lots of books and limited edition art and maps. We were able to grab a couple books. Will be returning soon.
