I kept seeing Build Coffee as I passed by on Metra and thinking: "I need to check that out!" Finally made it, during the height of Saturday afternoon: Pack your patience! Place is cool, quirky, busy (a true cross section of humanity), and jamming with music. Long line, which gave me plenty of time to study the menu (turns out only the weekend placard items were available). I ordered the grilled veggie sandwich ($10: got the last one!) and Iced Americano ($4): got the former immediately; 20-minute wait for the latter (but they did warn me up front about the drink delay). So I found a corner to perch, wait, and people watch. Once my drink was ready, I grabbed it and escaped to an introvert haven: the outside patio area. Peaceful compared to inside, and actually plenty of seating! I unwrapped the biggest veggie sandwich I've ever seen, which was fabulous and filling (even for hard core carnivores). The Iced Americano was robust yet smooth, very satisfying for espresso lovers. So I would like to return, maybe during the week or early on Saturday so I can enjoy the vibe and try the popular Jambon Buerre before it sells out...🤞
