This is a great black owned bookstore or book boutique. They hold events and have a great selection of books written by black authors. It is very clean and the owners are mother and daughter. They sell tshirts, candles, tote bags in addition to books.

The owner was very nice very informative. I got this book because it called my name and I actually thought about the movie before I even ran into the book and I did not know Toni Morrison wrote this book. She is an incredible author. I’m so looking forward to diving into this book.

Love this Bookstore! What a Local Gem. Fabulous selection of books on many very relevant subjects. Books seem more reasonably priced than other places, and the Staff were welcoming and helpful in pointing out where to find things and making good suggestions. Plus, there was an event going on in which happy children and their parents were enjoying "Book & Brunch", a regular event hosted at the shop - where children enjoy stories, good food and even take home a book. Such a creative idea! So many genuine smiles were in the shop this morning. What a wonderful vibe has been created here. Will be back!

I’ve visited this bookstore several times with different book clubs and have always had a great experience. I really love their selection of events, and Courtney, the co-owner, is absolutely lovely. The space feels welcoming and thoughtfully curated. I would definitely recommend this store, and if you’re an author, it’s a wonderful place to host a book event as well.

Beautiful bookstore and gift shop boutique. It's truly a warm and inviting space. I'd say it's almost begging for a cafe, but I hate coffee, and you're perfect as you are now. Came with my local sister to peruse their small but well curated selection of African American centric books. Similar to Third Eye in Portland, this place is dangerous for me. It's all new books which is her preference, but my addiction requires me buying mainly used so that I can keep paying my bills every month. I managed to keep myself to only two books(and that was a struggle), but I added several more titles to my extensive list for next time. They also sell several items from local artists, designers and crafts persons. It was a pleasure conversing with the owners about books and the state of our country. I'll definitely make a stop on my next extended trip to Chicago with a bigger spending budget. Support black owned businesses!
