I ALWAYS stop by Byrd’s whenever I am in town. Regardless of who is working that day I get thoughtful book recommendations that always hit with the kiddos I am shopping for. Truly great people an wonderful selection of books!

What a great local shop. One could easily make this a weekly stop on their regular schedule. Excellent selection supported by extremely helpful staff. Wonderful place to start the kids off in their reading endeavors too, beginning with what you can read to them to an introduction into choosing their own gateway to their imaginations. Stop in and see - it's a terrific way to support local business as well.

Great local shop. We went to buy a couple of books for a birthday. The lady at the front desk was very helpful and asked us very intelligent questions before giving us excellent suggestions for books to buy. The books we have purchased have been great reads and we want to go back to buy some more once we are done with the ones we have right now.

Lovely community bookstore, had a gift certificate and someone had suggested their book clubs to me so I happily went. Met several employees, discussed books and the book clubs with them. They have fiction, sci-fi/fantasy and history clubs. They wait to choose a book after it’s paperback release so folks don’t have to buy an expensive hardcover, that’s incredibly thoughtful! Lovely shop!
