I’ve been to many bookstores in Florida but this by far exceeds any bookstores I’ve ever been to. I met beyond amazing staff who care about the community, people, and books they offer. They have a bunch of cool and unique books, trinkets, and community based content. It’s obvious they care and are knowledgeable about their communities and book culture. I heard one of the employees, talk to a customer about a variety of environmental books, and that the can order books for you online. I asked about sitting down and working on some online work, they offered WiFi, a variety of drinks, and even Taiyaki. I sat here for 2 hours and didn’t want to leave. This place definitely left a very positive impact and I can’t wait to go back, shop more books, and talk to people in the community. 10/10 recommend

Perfect for gift shopping or discovering unique literature. Cozy, cute, local bookstore, great snacks(toasty taiyaki is here with limited hours check their page for details), cute keepsakes, emphasis on being a welcoming space for all.

I received a friendly greeting as I walked into the store, and I really cherished my time here! There were lots of locally-made book accessories and an excellent selection of pins, trinkets, and books. I found a book I've been looking to read for a while, so I gladly made the purchase. The space is inclusive and fun, making your book shopping experience more enjoyable.

There aren’t enough words to describe how important and dedicated common ground books is to the Tallahassee and literary community. It’s my first go to stop for not only books, but stickers and accessories like hand made book pouches. Don’t miss out on the food pantry Sundays as well as the makers markets held about every month! CGB is a fun place to gather, hang out, and meet new friends. And don’t sleep on Toasty Taiyaki inside! Check their social media like Instagram for daily menu and get there around opening so you’re guaranteed to get one before they sell out! This is THE small business and bookstore to support!

I wish I had a place like this when I was growing up outside Tallahassee!!!! The people, the space, the books, the vibe… I loved everything about this place! When I heard about Common Ground Books, I knew I had to go when I was back in Tallahassee. I found a pile of books to buy and I spent a while chatting with both the person working as well as some other people that were there. They have lots of mugs and art. It’s just such an amazing space to be in.
