The Bookshelf (GA)

The cutest local bookshop, with friendly, helpful staffers. The owner recently wrote a book herself (her and I both graduated from the same small Christian high school, one year apart actually, small world for ya!), which I borrowed from my local library in Tallahassee. But after loving it so much (and wanting to highlight and underline and notate) I knew I needed my own copy. So we made the short drive across the state line for a visit on sidewalk sale day, and loved our time in the store and in downtown! Plus, I now have an autographed copy!

I was just reminded yesterday how much I love The Bookshelf. Nothing beats walking in to the quiet shop after a stressful work day. On this particular day, I wanted to buy books for two little ones, but I didn't know where to start. All I had to do was tell Kyndall their ages, and she walked me right back to the kids' section and pointed out 2 perfect books. Then, while she was wrapping them with complimentary gift wrap, I grabbed a signed copy of a book I've been wanting to read for myself. The Bookshelf is such a blessing and an asset to our town.

This place has such an adorable, cozy vibe. They’ve got a really good variety of books, and you’ll definitely find something worth taking home. It’s the perfect spot to wander around if you’re a book lover!
