Copperfield's Books Petaluma

Copperfield’s Books is a local independent bookstore that started out in Sebastopol in the early 80s and has now expanded in the surrounding areas of Northern California. They have stores all over Sonoma County, Napa County, and Marin County. This specific one was located in the beautiful city of Petaluma. It is right in the middle of downtown so you would have to walk from a parking lot a couple blocks away. This store has a nice selection of all types of books, magazines, planners and journals, and gifts. I loved the setup of this specific store. It was like a fun maze with a lot of things to look at. Something I’ve always loved about Copperfields is the insect displays hanging all over the ceiling of the store. I remember seeing that growing up as a kid and I’m glad this bookstore can have a personal signature. What I also fancied about this store was the basement downstairs that’s filled with used books and you can even drop off used books yourself. They also have antique and out of print books. I loved the brick walls in the children’s area. Overall they had great decor. To the beautiful people of Sonoma County and visitors abroad, I would recommend coming to this bookstore. Whether you’re a book lover or not there’s something in here for everyone. It’s also a good feeling to be out and about with the rest of the community!
