Word Horde Emporium of the Weird & Fantastic is a "wonderfully curated" bookstore in Petaluma, California, specializing in weird, horrific, fantastic, and speculative fiction for all ages. We are the Bay Area's home for the best in Independent and small press horror and weird fiction, and quite possibly the largest collection of Penguin Classics. We also feature a Spooky Kids Zone, graphic novels and manga, and ever-growing collections of mythology, monsters, true crime, and occult books. We carry a variety of games and accessories, with a focus on the weird, and indie RPGs. In addition, we stock tons of stickers, buttons, pins, and other jewelry; candles and locally-made bath and body products; creepy decor and quirky collectibles and toys; journals and stationery; plush guts and monsters and spooky Squishables; and so much more. Love this place! Cool selection of interesting books and games. But, the stars of the show are Ross and Jen, some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet!

Very nice little store, more "bookstore" than anything else, but so much "else" that calling it just a "bookstore" not only misses the mark, it misses several marks! I was particularly startled/impressed by how *many* RPG's they had, in such a small space.

My favorite store on this fine planet. Everyone there is wonderful, staff and fellow customers included, and every book and merch item feels like it was hand crafted to target me specifically. If you're looking for fun pins, d&d stuff, cool and unique plushies, an amazing collection of tabletop games, and books you'd never heard of but now that you've found them you can't live without them, you should check it out!

A weird and fantastic little book store that caters especially to fans of horror and science fiction, but has something for everyone. In addition to a diverse selection of books by both famous and indie authors, you'll find whimsical toys and delightful knick-knacks aplenty. There's also a great selection of games and gamer guides. Highly recommend!

This bookstore is full of fantastic finds! Tons of books in the horror, sci-fi, & fantasy genres. They also have lots of fun gifts such as plushies, enamel pins, earrings, stickers, tarot decks, handbags, and interesting decor. The employees are very friendly too! Check this place out, they just opened fairly recently.
