Diane's Books of Greenwich

Didn't feel very welcomed as I thought it would be when ive observed from the outside. Finally went in one day and there was books in every nook and cranny. Would've loved to hear the story of the place but was brushed off..

Quaint little shop with a small selection of books. Nice shop to browse and walk around, but may not have items that you are specifically looking for, unless it is a newer item. They do order books and call you when they have arrived. The staff is helpful but not very friendly.

What an absolute gem! At any age, one is able to find a book to read and enjoy at Diane’s Books. This bookstore offered a nostalgic feeling of what the publishing and bookselling world was like before online shopping and chainstores. Therefore, a store like this is hard to come by nowadays and one must take the opportunity to visit. Diane, herself, was there passionately recommending books from their vast collection which the store displays in a cozy/bookish atmosphere. Diane’s Books is accessible for readers of any type of genre. She recommended me the novel, Jackie by Dawn Tripp, which was an appropriate choice for me as I have studied all the biographies of Jacqueline Onassis and Diane couldn’t have recommended it in a more studied or “knowing” way — what a treat to read a tremendously well-researched work of historical fiction! Diane’s Books have in-stock titles from all genres which are placed intentionally throughout the store. Another part of the store that struck my eye was the gardening section which had books regarding New England and Connecticut gardens that are not sold in other bookstores. If you are on a day trip or live near the Greenwich area, do make this a top priority to visit and if you are so lucky to live near Diane’s Books - utilize this shop to buy your books. 10/10.
