Drama Book Shop

A theatre lovers MUST see. Tourists do not skip this and locals have access to so many free events hosted! Excellent selection of scripts and specialty merch. Coffee shop inside as well as little areas tucked throughout to sit and sip and read. Staff knowledge and joy for theatre is second to none.

This place is amazing. I spent 1 day working here. No sitting on the floor, so get there early to get a seat. They don’t have a microwave to warm up purchased pastries. The coffee was delicious.

All kind if books about theater drama, musicals plus a coffee shop with unexpectedly large seating throughout the store . The decor is very whimsical and creative. You can find good gifts here for a drama loving friend. Very nice and knowledgeable staff who are realu into what they are doing.

The Drama Book Shop is one of my favorite places in NYC! It has such a warm, creative atmosphere, and the selection of books is incredible — plays, scripts, theatre merch, everything. The staff is very welcoming and helpful, and the whole shop feels inspiring. Definitely worth visiting whether you’re a theatre lover or just want a unique bookstore experience.
