I love love love half price books. All locations here in the city of Austin are in great areas of other locations that are walking distance. They had such a huge selection of books and many of which are currently on sale!!! So if you like to read and are on a budget head on down. They also have selection of reusable bags and many other small trinkets.

I love half price books and come here regularly. This one and the one on Lamar and 2222 are my favorites. The staff are helpful, well first, and nice. There’s so few bookstores around anymore and the ones that stock new books carry such a small selection that it is way more interesting to go to used bookstores. Their books are reasonable to be priced and if you have books to get rid of, they will go through them while you wait. They don’t pay a ton for their books, but it’s an easy way to offload access books that you don’t need anymore. They also carry DVDs, CDs, vinyl, and audiobooks. They used to be open till 10, since the pandemic they’ve only been open till eight. I wish they would lengthen their hours again

What can I say about this place that people already know. This is a place I'm frequently in, either selling books, or buying them. Their music and DVD collection is always great to browse as well. You won't be disappointed visiting this location. Just don't get sucked in too much, you might spend your entire day there.

This is perhaps my very favorite place in Austin. I spend so much time here looking for books to read and books to gift, tarot cards and old records… stuffies for kids and crafty kits. I truly love this place and it brings me so much joy. I once befriended a 90 year old man in the Spanish book section and we exchanged emails and I met him and his wife for coffee and conversation at half price books. So much love for this business

These guys throw away perfectly good books! Just next door I saw a bunch of pages of a ripped apart book so I collected the pages and put them in the dumpster but discovered perfectly good books in there.
