Harbor Books (WA)

This store has become a refuge for me. I love the service, the variety, and the many different programs it puts on. Here is a business that supports and loves its community, and cherishes the beauty of books, stories, and the expression of storytelling!

The are always kind and considerate. They have a good selection for the store size.

I began to visit Harbor Books when it was located on the other side of the bridge across the Hoquiam River. Instantly I felt at home with Melinda’s friendly and helpful welcome. She was able to order unusual books for me and never charged extra for the privilege. I also attended a number of Writers Group meetings at the bookstore and found a community of fascinating authors ! And now the new store is even more intriguing and Melinda more helpful and delightful than ever!

The store is lovely, small enough to be comfy but not such that you're not tripping over each other. The owner was delightful and friendly, and is reason enough to make a return trip. The only hitch is that the parking is a tad tricky, the spaces are in the back of the building and incredibly close together. The parking areas condition may be tricky footing for people with mobility concerns. Overall I will be coming back again and again for the company and book selection alone.
