Was in town last weekend visiting and was so excited to visit this gem. They had a great range of book genres and bookish merchandise- there truly is something there for all.

My family has loved visiting Browsers for years (my wife has been a loyal customer for as long as I can remember), but I recently had the privilege of experiencing the shop from a new perspective. I reached out to the owner, Andrea, about a creative collaboration, and she was incredibly supportive and gracious. Being allowed to use such an iconic space for a photography project was a huge gift, and the results speak for themselves—the atmosphere here is unmatched. Beyond just being a fantastic bookstore with a beautiful selection, the employees and owner are simply amazing people. Browsers is exactly the kind of business Olympia should be proud to call its own. Highly recommended!

Such a thoughtful curated, community-focused local bookstore! There is such a great mix of popular and unique finds here, including PNW-centric books and bookish gifts. It is truly tiny yet mighty! Don’t forget to go upstairs too!

I entered this bookshop on an impulse wall walking back to the bus stop through downtown Olympia, going to the Amtrak station. Though I only intended to stay for a few minutes, I eventually stayed for long enough that I missed my bus and had to catch the next one a half hour later. That, I think, is the greatest endorsement one can make of a bookshop: a captivates one so much that they forget all issues of time and practicality and allow the visceral experience of being surrounded by a myriad of books in a rustic, artful space to be overwhelming. There are a lot of book stores like that in Seattle, where I am currently living, but there are fewer in Olympia, so they are worth saving for their color and their imaginativeness and their playful creativity.
