This book store was warm and inviting, situated in an old building in the historic district with beautiful creaky wooden floors, an inviting atmosphere, and prompt, friendly service. Reasonably priced, not over stuffed or cluttered, with a nice variety of new titles in a variety of genres. I look forward to visiting again.

I stopped here while traveling through Astoria! The interior was very nice and so were the staff. It was a little picked over when I came in but it was after memorial weekend so that’s understandable. The woman working the counter said that the bookstore has been around for 30 years but has recently switched locations and owners. I got 2 books there that I had been wanting. They also had books I hadn’t seen before which is cool. You get a free bookmark with each purchase. I also got a cool postcard that I hadn’t seen anywhere else. Location is very central to the shopping district.

I was visiting from Seattle and this store immediately caught my eye. I love how curated the selection is and staff is friendly. I picked up two books there that I am thoroughly enjoying.

This simply doesn’t qualify as a bookstore. It’s empty. There are maaaaybe 8-10 books per section. Maybe 6 sci-fi books. Why stay open and disappoint potential customers?

My husband and I happened to see Lucy's Books at the end of our vacation in Astoria. We were happy we did. The store is organized well and not overwhelming like some bookstores. They also have some really neat games, puzzles, and fun gifts. Also, good local postcards for the best price. I buy a lot of postcards and stickers when I travel and had already spent quite a bit on postcards. I wish I had been to Lucy's at the beginning of the trip because there were a number of cards I purchased elsewhere for a lot more $$$.
