Lykke Books is not only a well-stocked bookstore. It is also a great meeting place…to play word games with a friend, form a small book group to discuss a current interest, to just go in out of the cold, to browse and have a chai latte…. A GREAT addition to New Ulm’s downtown!!

One of the best bookstores in MN! I was impressed by their selection of books and the overall ambiance (including the lovely NüBrew coffee in the same space). Can’t wait to visit Lykke again!

This is the cutest bookstore. I could spend all day here. They have a coffee area, board/card game area, comfortable seating and displays that highlight some great books. The children’s area is small but still perfect. I live about 30 minutes away but I will be back many times.

I stumbled upon Lykke Books while in downtown New Ulm, and I’m *so* glad I did! From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the warm, welcoming vibe and the expertly curated selection of books and gifts for all ages. The collection is diverse, thoughtful, and timely—I was excited to find several titles from my “to read” list in stock (a rare surprise!). The staff was knowledgeable and kind, and the space itself is cozy with multiple inviting areas to sit and read. I grabbed an iced coffee and a scone (yum!) from the in-store Nu Brew Café, took advantage of the free wifi to catch up on a few emails, and could have easily stayed all day. I left with a stack of books and plans to bring my kids back soon so they can discover their next reads. It's so great to have Lykke Books right here in New Ulm. Highly recommend!
