New Copperfield's Book Service

I just had a very unpleasant experience at this store. My friend and I walked in to look for a book by a local alumni and when we went to pet the shop cat with eyes clearly open we were instantly snapped at by the lady at the counter to not pet the cat because it is sleeping. We decided to leave and not look for the book. I will not be supporting the store in the future which is a shame because I supported them by buying books through them during the pandemic. Will not be returning. Here are a couple ideas to make a more inclusive, inviting store: 1. If you have store pets, expect them to be pet by people of all ages. If you don’t want people to interact with the animals take them home. 2. Clean your store. 3. Be nice, especially to your local customers who have supported you.

Does anyone actually know when the hours are. I came here at 3 PM on a Monday and it was very disappointingly closed Sorry I don’t mean to come off as rude there just aren’t many book stores in town so I was really disappointed when I drove all the way downtown to your book store that says online and on the door it’s open Monday - Friday until 5. So I’m just wondering when the actual hours are because I love to read and your store was closed when I came by today.

Great selection of books and a wonderful atmosphere. Love the children's book section. Look for local bands and musicians on Saturdays.
