North Figueroa Bookshop

North Fig Bookstore was the first book store I visited after moving to Los Angeles and it has become my go-to when I am in need for new reading material, gifts, or a pleasant conversation. I especially enjoy my visits when Amadeus is working. He is quite knowledgeable, kind, and friendly. He definitely makes the store feel like a neighbor. He has a vast knowledge of books, authors, and literature so I trust his recommendations for new reads. I am lucky to have moved to this neighborhood with such a unique and outstanding bookstore staffed by a cool, intelligent sweetheart.

Such a cute little bookstore! They had a lot of books in their space and the worker was nice so it was cool to visit after we got some tacos.

A cozy bookstore with a good variety of offerings! The employees there were very friendly, and the shop had a chill and welcoming atmosphere. They have a membership system (a good deal for regular customers), events, and several book clubs. Since it’s a smaller space, they can’t stock everything, but I feel like it’s a great bookstore to go to regularly and get surprised by what you find!
