Paonia Books

My husband and I always make more than one trip to Paonia Books when we are visiting. They have an incredible selection of books that are enticingly displayed so it is easy to find your next great read! And, they have an amazing selection of high-quality notebooks that are a joy to write in. We live in Iowa City, which has an incredible independent bookstore called Prairie Lights, and we make an effort to visit independent bookstores wherever we travel, but Paonia Books is one of our all-time favorites! My husband discovered a new favorite book here, The Lost Shtetl, by Max Gross, and I picked up Wendell Berry, short stories by Elizabeth McCracken, and James by Percival Everett. They rearrange the books frequently on display so even in one short week we found new treasures. And, they also host exciting author talks, and the espresso is the best in town. Love this place!
