Fantastic little local book store with quite a selection! Stopped by on our way through town on a week day morning, not busy at all. Owner was very friendly and willing to help me find something to read. I ended up getting a book by a local author, On Jericho Flats by Mark Duff.

I love our local bookstore. White River books is a pillar in our little town of Carbondale. They actively engage in the community, always looking for ways to give back. If they don’t have what you are looking for, they’ll order it for you!

White River Books is a gem. Excellent selection, excellent recommendations and such a cozy atmosphere. I can’t recommend this store enough. Such an amazing addition to the Carbondale community.

Such a lovely shop and the owner, Izzy, has helped me time and time again finding the books I’m looking for! Anytime I come in looking for something specific she either pulls it right off the shelf or can order it into the shop within a short time. I really appreciate being able to buy new books in this way that supports the author as well as a locally owned bookstore, instead of continuing to support Amazon.
