Like its namesake canine, Plott Hound Books is a mountain treasure. We aim to provide the best and the brightest of contemporary Appalachian fiction, fact, essays and poetry, along with thoughtfully curated great writing in a variety of genres. We love any story well told and delight in calling attention to voices not commonly heard and perspectives that are fresh and provocative. And with James Beard Award winning author Ronni Lundy at the helm, you can bet our cookbook and food section is smashingly curated. Our aim is to create community and foster conversation in an atmosphere that is welcoming to all. We look forward to meeting you.

What a lovely bookstore! They carry a variety of titles and the vibe inside is cozy and inviting. It's so wonderful to have a local bookstore like this in a small rural town.

First off, Plott Hound is my favorite local bookstore. They have an epic selection of new and timeless books curated by the best folks. Ronni put it in good hands with Sarah and the Marys. They support local artists and authors, and I can never resist getting a new sticker (or three) when I'm in.

Absolutely love Plott Hound bookstore, it’s is welcoming for all with a wonderful assortment of books. Something for everyone, so happy for our small town to have an independent bookstore. As someone who works in town I always recommend a stop there!
