⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Wonderful Candle-Making Experience! We had such an amazing time at Firelight Candle! Lucy and her husband Patrick were incredible hosts — so kind, patient, and welcoming. Even though our group of nine arrived about 30 minutes late due to unexpected traffic, they couldn’t have been more accommodating. Lucy even helped us with parking suggestions before class, which was such a thoughtful touch! The studio itself is cozy, beautiful, and full of charm. Lucy walked us through the process step-by-step and shared so much knowledge about the clean, high-quality ingredients she uses in her candles. We each got to make two candles of different scents, and every one of them smelled amazing. Lucy is a fantastic instructor — engaging, encouraging, and clearly passionate about her craft. The whole experience was relaxing, creative, and fun from start to finish. We’ll be recommending Firelight Candle to everyone we know! After class, we stopped by the attached bookstore — such a hidden gem with the cutest children’s section and unique book selection for all ages. If you’re in the Blowing Rock area, this is a must-do experience! 🕯️✨

Firelight is a treasure trove of local art, amazing gifts, adorable kids stuff, and the book selection is top tier. They have a used book area, too, and it’s filled with quality titles you actually want to bring home. I’m already addicted to their candles - they are all over my home!

I am insanely happy that Blowing Rock finally has a bookstore!! And especially as cozy, inviting, and lovely bookstore like this. There was a small but curated collection that was beautifully displayed. The candles also smelled great! I’m so excited to come back every time I’m in blowing rock!!
