A great book store, lots of options as well as other trinkets. I live over by the one in NW which has a coffee shop in the basement, this one has a coffee shop/bakery connected. This method of partying with coffee shops is a great idea and it works. Grab a book and a coffee/tea.

Aptly named bookstore for the Capitol city. A better than average selection of political biographies and American history.

Excellent bookstore, as all Politics and Prose are. I'm glad to see it in this location (it opened in 2017, I just hadn't been there until now). Maybe they felt the location was so key, they decided the lack of bathrooms inside the shop, wasn't a deal-breaker? They held an excellent event for an amazing new book, standing room only! When asked, they directed attendees to public bathrooms close by. Unfortunately, those bathrooms were NOT accessible, leaving ~100 people to either "hold it" or go farther afield in search of bathrooms, like in a restaurant. Heaven help you if you're someone who requires easily accessed facilities! Seems a real problem for an event venue.

Great bookstore. Went there for book signing with Leland Vittert and nicely set up. Only recommendation is that chairs are very small for those that are a little bigger may not be comfortable.

Such a lovely bookstore and amazing staff! And an excellent provider of community events, like author readings/discussions. However, I was extremely disappointed to learn that guests are not allowed to use the restroom. Um, maybe don’t host events if you can’t provide basic services for your guests? Very disappointing :/
