Sassafras on Carteret

Sassafras is one of the most charming shops in all of downtown Beaufort. Everything feels handpicked with care and personality. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful without being pushy—they make you feel right at home and are always happy to offer suggestions. Whether you’re shopping for a special gift or just browsing, you’ll always find something you didn’t even know you needed.

Absolutely adorable little store! The staff were all so nice and the store was laid out beautifully! You could tell that great care was used when placing items. Books and corresponding items were curated and placed together in a way to where you may feel the need to buy them both. There were items from small shops to go with the books from major publishers and the selection of items between the books, games, stuffed animals, kitchen goodies, decor, and more was phenomenal! Everywhere you turn there is something new to look at and yet the store never felt cluttered. We loved shopping around here and will be back next time we are in town!

We visited this wonderful shop twice yesterday. My grand daughter and her mom were looking for gifts. The sales person was so helpful and patient. Pricing is very reasonable and they have a great variety of fun items for all ages. I definitely recommend a stop here when in Beaufort.
