Snowfort Books

Wonderful vibe and so warm and welcoming. Loved the local Adirondack and poetry sections. I even got a warm bowl of tasty chili on my Saturday visit and some great conversation from one of the owners.

I've heard about this local book store opening and I've been eager to check it out. I saw a post for a silent book club meeting, so my son and I grabbed some books and headed over. I was warmly greeted by the owner and other patrons. We explored the store and were excited to see all the different comfy seating options. We purchased some books, stickers and ice cream and enjoyed some silent reading time. I will absolutely be back and so excited to have something like this locally. Ive loved seeing all of the events they offer for local children and adults! Its a must see in Westport.

I loved this place, an old hardware store with so many cool books and little gems like the spoil of twine suspended on a high wall to pull and gift wrap a book my husband will give me for Christmas! I really hope this place endures and keeps its charm. The best shop in Westport!
