The cutest little bookstore! They have so many good options including trendy books, an adorable kids section, and lots of toys/small trinkets that make the perfect gift. Staff is always so kind & helpful as well.

I’ve patronized Sparta Books many times over the years and have always enjoyed it. It’s a charming local bookstore and generally very family-friendly. On my most recent visit, I brought my 1.5 year old, who loved sitting at the kids’ table, looking at books, and noticing the stuffed animals throughout the store, including a full display of Warmies right at the register. Unfortunately, an employee made an unnecessary comment when my daughter hugged one of the stuffed animals while I was checking out. My child was not being disruptive or inappropriate in any way. While I understand this is a small business with sensitive items, the tone and attitude felt unwarranted and made both of us uncomfortable. It’s disappointing that one negative interaction can overshadow years of positive experiences, and sadly, this visit has made me hesitant to return.

Such a cute bookstore with a good selection!! My kids and I love coming here for books for the whole fam and I love that they're next door to a cute cafe! They have good author events often as well - I unfortunately am always working when they come up but I hope to get to one soon!

Popped in here for the first time and was surprised at how big it was inside! They had a great selection of books, including children’s books. A great book store to shop local!
