It is always a joy to go to the Vespiary. The selection of books is great. Audra will point you towards one that suits you. She has read them all! Well, nearly every one. Audra restored a family bible for me and has created beautiful archival storage boxes for precious family books that could not be restored. And the teeny, tiny books she crafts by hand are simply beautiful.

I was tickled pink to the second power when I opened the return box from Vespiary Book Restoration owner Audra. I had sent her an 1881 folio publication of Rembrandt's etchings with embossed plates—fascinating material, but falling apart with deteriorated paper and fragile pages crying out for expert care. I also sent a 1845 "History of Oregon and California" with binding problems that threatened its survival. After discussing preservation options, I wasn't entirely sure what to expect. What arrived back was remarkable. The scope of what Audra accomplished was impressive. She transformed loose, deteriorating sheets into stable, accessible books while preserving the historical integrity of both works. Her technical skill is evident throughout—from the careful stabilization of fragile pages to the thoughtful structural solutions that address fundamental problems without compromising the materials' authenticity. This is professional-grade conservation work that demonstrates both extensive expertise and sound judgment. Audra clearly understands when and how to intervene, balancing preservation needs with practical accessibility. The quality of execution reflects serious training and meticulous attention to detail. Her work is meticulous, professional, and expertly calibrated to give these historical materials a sustainable future. For anyone facing similar conservation challenges with deteriorating 19th-century publications, Vespiary Book Restoration offers the kind of skilled expertise that can genuinely save significant works. Audra, thanks so so much. . . .

While dusting, I knocked my family Bible (1889) off the bookshelf. The front and back covers and portions of the pages were completely detached. I met with Audra at her store, where she explained in detail the process she would use to repair it. I got the Bible back last week, and it has been restored perfectly! Highly recommend Audra for book restorations!!
