The Wise Owl Books and Music

A beautiful little store in the sweet Tangletown neighborhood. Because of its size the selection is limited, and geared largely to science fiction and fantasy. Still, a nicely curated selection of literary fiction and nonfiction graces the front of the store. The non-book items for sale also seem carefully chosen and appealing. The owner was helpful and pleasant. I look forward to visiting many times over the years and watching how The Wise Owl matures and grows.

Excellent little bookstore with an amazing collection of horror books and vintage mystery novels. I bought a really nice copy of my favorite Agatha Christie book as well as some excellent other titles. The clerk who works there is really helpful and friendly!

Cozy indie book and music store with a great selection! My fave books to read are fantasy and murder mystery, and the owner Christina always has great new recommendations for me. Bonus: shop is dog-friendly!

Went in on Sunday and had a great experience! The owner is super friendly, the selection is great (mix of both new and used, leaning into fantasy, scifi, horror). Dogs welcome! Really love having this store in the neighborhood - worth a visit.
