Phinney Books

I stumbled across Phinney Books as I was in the area running errands. As a Seattle native, this is by far the best independent bookstore I’ve been too. Their selection is amazing! So many good curated books in every genre. The “new in fiction” table caught my attention for at least 20 minutes. I was very pleasant with the diversity authors in this store. I think whoever is curating the shelves is creating a real type of art form. Just like curating track list for an album, I think a good curation of books matters just as much for a bookstore. I was blown away by the amount of pretty book covers and how they were displayed. I was impressed by their selection, not only did I recognize big authors and popular books but there were many indie novels as well. I walked away with more books than I needed, and I will definitely be back! The staff there is super nice as well :)

Great book selection- unfortunately probably won’t be back due to the weirdest customer service I’ve ever experienced.. even though I was the only one in the shop the man behind the counter could barely be bothered with a hello or even acknowledge my “thank you” on my way out..?

Another fabulous locally owned small book store, Phinney Books is petite with a mighty collection of well chosen selections. I've recently found some great independent items, including an annual fashion magazine that I haven't seen anywhere else. Kind and helpful staff. Parking is difficult on the street, but worth the trouble because excellent food, coffee and other shops abound in this area.

They have an incredibly organized, friendly, and knowledgeable staff. It's truly a delightful experience to visit and browse their selection in person, rather than just buying books online.
