Village Books (TX)

A nice variety of books, book lover gift items, and jewelry. I love that they have different pamphlets to help inform community members on topics like book banning, lbgtq support services, etc. I wish they had more books as it is a little small shop, but hopefully, if the community can support small businesses, it can expand! Looking forward to coming back.

This is a small and charming place to browse for books. They have a more general selection, but you'll likely find something you're interested in. There's also gifts, journals and other small items for writers and readers. Staff is friendly and interested in you and what you're looking for. Not open in late evenings, so make this an afternoon stop if you're running errands or doing some gift shopping. This location is in a strip center, so parking is per usual there.

Locally owned and operated Village Books is the sweetest thing! We stumbled upon this delightful bookshop last week when we found ourselves with an hour to kill in New Magnolia. I'd heard of it before, but I *assumed* it was a chain store. It's not! It's precious and sweet and the owner Teresa works there herself five days a week with her lovely dog, Oso. Village Books hosts regular events like book signings and story times. They have a room in the back where you can relax and read. My kids could have hung out there for hours.
