Blinking Owl Books

An amazingly well curated store with something for everyone. I felt right at home the moment I walked through the door. It can be hard to find a place with a cozy, inclusive, come-as-you-are atmosphere in Fort Myers, but visiting this store felt like taking the first big breath when you get home after a long trip. They also have a robust calendar of events, which I’m so excited to participate in down the road.

We visited Blinking Owl Books' new location for the first time in July 2025. The owner, Lucy, is kind and helpful. She has curated a wonderful selection of books, as well as creating a little hooker nook (for crochet!!) with cozy seating, gorgeous yarn, and lots of natural light. The shop also sells handmade candles, incense, stickers, pins, and some beautiful journals. Though we're only occasional visitors to the area, we will definitely be back. And Lucy - thank you for helping my kiddo who was trying to tell you about Finch!

What an adorable little place! Lots of books to choose from along with other hand made crafts , bookmarks, etc. love the cozy vibes and most of all the inclusivity!!! Staff was very friendly and kind! We got some very cool stickers and cute and funny pins as well!!!

Absolutely obsessed with this place. The staff is very knowledgeable. I came in looking for a book about dragons with Game of Thrones vibes and I left with a book I think I will very much enjoy. I love the selection of books here. Many times I have a hard time finding a book I will enjoy in a book store however I think I could leave with any book here and enjoy it
