Stopped in and what an amazing store. Such a breath of fresh air to have actual books and a knowledgeable staff. Thank you for being local and having such a diverse selection and friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Love this bookstore. It has a good selection of new and used books. Lots of character and has cozy spots to read your favorite book.

I am on vacation in Venice and happened across the Island Book Shop while exploring downtown. The owner, Michael was there and there were a handful of customers browsing. He bounced around to each of us to make recommendations and friendly conversation and showed me some great options when I told him the kinds of books I like to read. At one point I was the only customer left in the store and we got to have a great conversation about “weird” books as well as speculative fiction. If you’re in the area and like books, I definitely recommend stopping in! I picked up The Cartographers on his recommendation.
