Clean, bright, and friendly space with excellent curation and lovely sidelines from local creators and businesses! The employees we chatted with were so nice, and we were happy to hear they support Tacoma’s immigrant communities. Definitely worth a visit when you’re in Tacoma!

Love this gem of a bookstore! Grit City Books is nestled in a convenient spot in Tacoma. It's a must-visit for book lovers! It's a cozy, safe environment highlighting diverse authors and titles. The owners are amazing, and supporting local businesses like this makes a difference. Even when I can't stop by as often as I like, I can order books from them online or listen to audiobooks on their Libro app. Highly recommend checking it out & supporting local! 😊

One of the comfiest book stores in the city! The staff are very kind and helpful, and glad to help you find whatever you need. The selection is great, with a wide variety of local books if you want to learn more about your city, community, or your state: find hiking trails, local landmarks, flora and fauna, and history! On top of that, I saw all of my favorite books and the rest the author's works and others like them. For such a modest space, they've done the most with it. There's a nook for your kiddos to sit down and flip through some children's books, or even a fireplace with armchairs if you want a warm spot to read. You don't even need to stop by for books! There's a variety of fun pins, candles, teas, local coffee, and accessories for Dungeon and Dragons!

Beautiful bookstore with a cozy inclusive vibe. Kaitlin and Jeff always welcome with a smile. Good selection! Whether I’m grabbing something light for fun reading or a morbid pick. I know if they don’t have what I’m looking all I have to do is ask and they’ll have the book ordered and available for pick up. Usually within a few days. Also a great place to grab a nerdy little gift or a quick card on my way home. Grit City Books is a fantastic edition to our gritty little city and we love them!!! Keep up the great work and thanks for being incredible.
