The Dungeness railroad bridge Park is special anytime of the year, but during the holidays it truly shines. The lighted bridge with wreaths creates a warm, classical Christmas feel, almost like stepping into a small town holiday movie scene. It is simple, tasteful and beautifully done letting the setting speak for itself rather than trying too hard. This is a wonderful spot for a peaceful walk, photos, or just soaking in the season. A real credit to the Sequim community for maintaining such a beautiful well-loved place. Highly recommended, especially at Christmas.

It has a tactile room for kids. My 8 yr old grandson enjoyed himself immensely. Great little pond area by the bridge for the younger ones during warmer months. Great walking path for people that need flat ground. Easy access to the river.

We were really happy to find this neat little place. The trail went on forever a nice paved path which is perfect for walking or biking. Lots of people out enjoying it. Great view of the river and all the natural surroundings. I enjoyed seeing all the native plants and then afterwards they had a great little gift shop and a great place to take the kids to see the animals that are inside, taxidermy animals. Like always in a place like this it's always great to drop in a little donation to keep it going and keep it funded.

Beautiul nature center/museum full of info. The walk is pleasant, level and not difficult. Can be used by bicycles as well as people. Fun excursion!

Used to be a nice secluded park that many generations in Sequim grew up with, now its just a barren, scorched-earth superfund cleanup site where they removed all the mature trees and turned them into log jams for the beloved salmon. Please tell me how 300 feet of log jam at the park is really going to make a noticable difference with the salmon? Its not even a park anymore, its an exhibit. Polished for tourists and people to bike past on the elevated walkway that just imposes itself onto the space. Dont get me wrong, the new river center building is amazing, but they shouldn't have thrown the baby out with the bathwater and nixed the dyke and original trail and trees. The river was fine, and found its equilibrium. No intervention was needed; "contaminated soils" is a meme buzzword in Washington at this point. The worst part is they shut down the auxiliary parking lot which is still there essentially. They could reopen it for the locals if they wanted to, hopefully Powell reads this. There was a middle ground lost here. A compromise between caring for nature and preserving a beloved space. I weep.
