Martin house is magical and whimsical. This is the kind of bookstore dreams are made of. The selection was fantastic and I could spend HOURS here. Unfortunately we happened upon it on our second to last day in Westerly. The cafe drinks were great and the staff was even better! I’m specifically coming back to Westerly for this book store. I have told anyone that will listen about this place 🤣

I love this book store and the cafe! ☕️ I did not really go to the one it was before because it was in your face political. This store just makes me happy to be in. Seeing all the books while drinking a delicious latte. The children’s section is adorable and it brings me joy to see books from my childhood on display as well!

It's such a wonderful bookstore! The staff is friendly and the location is wonderful. My youngest loved the downstairs. We will definitely be back.

I love this place. The ambiance is fantastic. It used to be a historic hotel . It's a great place for kids, too. The kids' books are downstairs. Books are all new and at cover price, plus they have a place to grab coffee or food. The coffee is amazing- see update. My new go-to for new books! They have mini doors on the panel of the floor. Also, they have a chance to win a golden ticket for a gift card in their candy bars. Total literature lovers dream. I highly recommend it during off season. Update- they charge a ridiculous amount more for oat milk and didn't tell me on my most recent visit. My coffee went from $4 something to $6.75! When I asked about after it was made, I encountered this rude dude who technically told me, "Oh well, I should have known better, milk and oat are the same price currently.... Let the summer prices begin! Great coffee just overpriced....like beyond overpriced. I didn't pay that much last time, so I was super confused about it too and annoyed. A small amount of oat milk shouldn't be THAT MUCH. I want the carton next time. I guess I will off buy it the off season. 🙃
