I had not been to McIntyre's in a few years. I used to go at least once a year when my daughter was young. While they didn't have the book that I was looking for, they could have ordered it for me but I've already got one on order later this month at an author signing event. I found a really great looking book about the Piedmont of North Carolina. I love the welcoming atmosphere at McIntyre's and have even been there when it was a blustery winter day and the chairs by the fireplace felt like home.

These people know books! WOW! And the location is spectacular! It’s impossible to leave McIntyre’s without a bag full of books and a heart bursting with joy.

I cannot say enough good things about this bookstore! I highly recommend it. But please make sure you have a few hours to spend searching through all the rooms and little nooks.

McIntyre's is the best! A wide and deep collection of all kinds of books, arranged artfully with several rooms and lots of nooks and crannies, this independent bookstore is so fun to explore! Be warned, you will leave happily with more books than you intended to get.

In late July McIntyre’s Bookstore in beautiful Fearrington Village, hosted me for their weekly story time to share my children’s travel and adventure picture book, Mommy’s Big, Red Monster Truck, with area kiddos. I was so impressed with this gorgeous store and it’s talented and knowledgeable booksellers. McIntyre’s vast selection of books and support of local authors is incredible. It is an exemplary bookstore. All bookshops should strive for this level of excellence. The amazing interactive story time events keep kids engaged and completely inspired. Most definitely one of the BEST bookstores I’ve ever visited. Not to mention it is located on the gorgeous grounds of Fearrington Village that include a farm with livestock, restaurants and shops. You must visit!
