What an incredible shop! The book selection is varied and thoughtful - the children's books are especially well-curated, with lots of region-specific selections perfect for preserving the magic of Spooner even after you've left. There is also a large selection of games and puzzles, along with locally-made ceramics and other crafts, and some really beautiful yarns. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and everything about this store feels cozy and intentional. HIGHLY recommend.

Love this store. I try to stop in every time I come up to visit my friend in Spooner. Great book selection and lots of other fun things. Of course I can never pass up picking up some yarn while I'm here.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. The selection of books is wonderful, the yarn has a lot packed into a little space, and they have a nice game selection. More than that, twice now I have called with what I thought were impossible questions about yarn or patterns I bought the previous year and lost or needed a match for the yarn but no longer had the tag. Each time they have been incredibly helpful, found me what I needed, and were so gracious about it. We stop every time we're in Spooner and hope they stay open for forever.

For a couple that loves books (me) and yarn(my wife) we were in heaven at Northwind. They have a wide selection of both and you should definitely visit.
