Plot Twist Used Books

I enjoyed my visit to this book store! If you’re in the area, it’s a great spot for used books. The prices are reasonable, and there’s a decent selection. It’s clear they pay attention to the details here. I like that they have a rewards program, too.

Quite possibly one of my favorite places in Chicago. I lived right around the corner during 2025 and convenient and affordable access to this place and its books are single handedly responsible for getting me back into the habit of reading, especially classics. In the age of increasing media illiteracy, this is key. Penny, the owner, is a fantastic keeper and has great recommendations. The cozy store itself has reasonable prices, a diverse collection, and solid curation. Very integral part of the Jefferson Park community. I moved away some months ago, but cannot wait to be back soon.

I love this addition to our neighborhood! They have a nice selection for now and I’m sure they will be adding more. One teeny criticism is that there is a very strong scent of cleaner when you walk in and it set off my allergies so badly I had to leave. I had a very bad reaction to it. I don’t mean to criticize but this was an issue for me and may be for others. I’d like to come back if it airs out.
