Possible Futures is a neighborhood bookspace that is grounded in respect for the dignity of all beings, the importance of reciprocal relations, and the transformative power of radical love. It will be a place to purchase, yes, but also encounter, trade, talk about, and fall in love with books, especially books for children, youth, and "reluctant" readers and books that might not be as easily found elsewhere, such as books by authors of color, Indigenous authors, LGBTQ+ authors, bi/multilingual authors, local authors, and poets of all kinds.

1st visit: fell in love with the place. Walking distafrom home, excellent for my children and I to get exercise and some books. My daughter has been reading one of her books waking to tell me, she wishes this book would never end. This store seemingly small has exceptional titles and authors. I know my daughter will be asking to return before finishing her 3 books. My son has his two books, but was more interested in the gifts around the store. So he walked, I think sat in every seat in the store. This one needs some time to glance the isles and tables of great features. So next visit we'll be there moments after opening to spend that time. Thank you to this hidden gem of literary life...

I have been meaning to stop in this bookstore forever(I work at the dental office down the street) and just haven’t been able to get there. I finally had a day that I got off early, so I stopped in! What a cool spot! I was warmly greeted by the staff and the dog(love that!) I was impressed by the wide range of books available- you can spend a long time in there, just browsing! I picked up a dinosaur book for my dinosaur obsessed nephew and a couple of cool stickers. I will definitely be back to visit!

We stepped in here on a quick visit to New Haven and we were immediately greeted by the cutest shop dog. She was so sweet. The selection of books was diverse and I found it to be such a cozy space inside. I didn’t find what I was looking for on this visit but look forward to stopping in when we are in the area again.

I am very lucky to have access to such a wonderful local book store. I can’t wait to return!! I’m especially impressed by their extensive collection of children’s books, YA titles, and graphic novel, which is hard to find, as other book shops in the area seem to cater more to the university demographic. I can see how much effort and love they place into creating a space for children and community to explore and imagine all the possible futures!! 100/10 would recommend!
