The best in deep, dark, weird or hard books, music & film. Heavily curated showcase of new and used books, vinyl, DVDs/blu-rays, and CDs. But mostly books.

Outstanding little shop. Awesome selection, especially in sci-fi and fantasy, and an eclectic range of books where everyone is bound to find something.

Fun store with an interesting assortment of genre literature. Some second-hand classics and contemporary fiction, too.

Amazing selection of books, so many different genres, as well as vinyl records. The man working there was so nice and funny. The store is also just so cutely decorated, and great music taste! It's very themed, which is so cute.

Skull-face is a chill and quirky independent book and record store in downtown Honolulu, near Chinatown! We loved the macabre goth-punk vibe and the cool merch. Skull-face has everything you need in a new and used bookstore with a laid-back and welcoming feel. It has a great selection of horror, sci-fi, and local history books; it is definitely the place to grab your next read.

An absolute must-visit for anyone exploring Chinatown who loves independent book stores. Packed into this modest location in Chinatown is an exceptionally well curated selection of both new and classic books. Areas were also dedicated to vinyl records, science fiction, and manga, with a large selection of out of print hardcovers. The clerk was friendly and gave an excellent recommendation for some vacation reading.
