This bookstore is an absolute gem! They have an awesome selection, especially for school-age children, but truly there’s something here for everyone. The staff is always friendly. I’ve had the pleasure of speaking with the manager John a few times, he is wonderful! Very friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about books. Today my son and I came in after a tough day at school, just looking for a little literary pick-me-up. John, without knowing what kind of day my son had, surprised him with a free book. That simple act of kindness meant the world to us and perfectly reflects the welcoming spirit of this place. It instantly pulled my son out of his slump and he skipped all the way to our car! If you’re looking for great books and an even greater atmosphere, this is the spot to visit!

Perfect, wonderful example of what makes an independent bookstore a special place. I'm in Williamsport every few months on business and finally had some time to enjoy the beautiful downtown shops. Otto's is fantastic - great selection, competitive prices, a really cool space, and most important, a very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Can't wait to return!
