As the sole independent bookstore in the Northeast San Fernando Valley, we strive to provide culturally pertinent books & literacy initiatives to a diverse & intergenerational BIPOC audience. We specialize in Xicane & Latine literature, indigenous knowledge, bilingual childrens literature, contemporary social commentary, Spanish, LGBTQIA+, anti-racism, & social change.

I sign up during the holidays for their tamale making events and this past weekend there was a meet and greet with the cast of La Bamba. They also have a great variety of empowerment books to buy. In the city of Sylmar.

Ordered a book via their website that I couldn't source anywhere locally. Their website is user friendly and my ordered was shipped next day. Received my order nicely wrapped and it included 2 beautiful bookmarks! I'm very thankful for their great prices and fast service!! Looking forward to visiting one day!! 🙏
