Let me tell you about Water Street Bookstore, folks—there’s nothing like it. Nothing. I’ve been around bookstores, okay? A lot of them. And this one? The best. Locally owned, beautifully owned—some might say perfectly owned. The selection is incredible. So many great books. Smart books. Interesting books. You walk in and you immediately feel it—this is a serious bookstore. A classy bookstore. No nonsense. Just great reads everywhere you look. And being locally owned? That’s huge. Very important. They care. You can tell they love what they do. The staff knows books, they love books, they respect books. Other places? Big chains. Cold. Sad. This place has heart. Big heart. There’s a charm to it—real charm. Cozy, welcoming, very warm. You could spend hours there and not even notice the time passing. People are saying, “This is how bookstores should be.” And they’re right. Honestly, I’d give it 10 stars if they let me. Maybe more. Water Street Bookstore is doing it right—great community, great books, great ownership. A total winner. Believe me. 📚

My friend and I explored this bookstore and we both loved it. There were some bargain books outside on tables. Nicely laid out store and so many good options in each genre. The staff were very nice. We will definitely be back.

Great bookstore with beautiful river views, interesting titles, and fun cards and gifts. I didn’t purchase “Love Free or Die” so it’s still there on the discount table for a lucky someone! My husband was impressed with the poetry section, which never happens.

From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by the warm smiles of the staff, who were not only friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable and eager to assist, making my browsing experience all the more enjoyable. The book selection is perfect and curated with care, ensuring that every title is worthy of attention (leaving here and there some little cards with book reviews by the staff members). The real highlight lies at the back of the store, where a vast window overlooks the river flowing by. As I perused the shelves, I found myself drawn to this serene spot, where people go to read their book and sip a coffee or leave a message in notebooks left there for our convenience. I will sure come back!
