Barbara's Bookstore - Lombard

This is a beautiful bookstore. It is so cozy and cute! I especially love how they organized their age groups. They have a kids section in the front and it gets older the farther you go! The staff are basically angels and I %100 would recommend going!

Went for a book release event last night - very well done. Staff and event very well organized. The store itself is LOVELY! Wouldn't hesitate to go to the next one!

Barbara’s Bookstore at the Yorktown Mall is one of my favorite bookstores to visit. Not only are the booksellers knowledgeable about their stock, but I can rely on recommendations from them when I am in need for any kind of genre. Georgette is reliable to offer suggestions as well as ordering all and any books that I need for myself, my classroom, and family members. She and her staff of booksellers have their fingers imbedded in what’s hot and upcoming. Every time I come into the store, I see new tables based on trends and themes with a variety of genres and authors to showcase books as well as other bookish items to choose from. It is my hope that Barbara’s Bookstore continues to have their doors open in the Chicago suburbs with people like Georgette and her team of booksellers.

Lots of open, empty space where there SHOULD be bookshelves. Not much selection. Find a Books-A-Million location (i.e., Fox Valley) instead. They have about 3 times as many books.
