I stumbled upon this charming Bayfield bookshop on my yearly sailing trip and immediately fell in love with its ambiance, colors, layout, and variety of books. Julie, the owner, has done a wonderful job expanding the shop. I’ve bought a few books here—Untamed by Will Harlan rekindled my love for the wilderness. Julie is a heartwarming spirit—say hello when you visit! Keep up the great work, Julie. You’re a dime. ✨

I think this is my favorite ever bookstore. Every time I come to Bayfield I visit here. I love wandering the stacks reading about the books on the handwritten notes posted beneath the books (describing what the book is about with a little review). Love the selection of books. The service is excellent - wonderfully friendly and helpful.

This store is a gem. Huge selection of current and vintage books. I love the lounge area where you can hang out with coffee/tea/wine/beer, play a game, or maybe hear some local music. Oh yeah, and you could read in the lounge too.

I love this store! I have ordered through them for a couple of years and the books come wrapped with a little doggie doodle, which is just freaking adorable, of course. But they have also responded so promptly whenever there's been any issue... for instance the P.O. once lost/soaked my books. I know it wasn't the store because the shipping tracker showed my order received from vender, & on its way point A,B,C, where it just... stayed... for a week then picked up, until my soggy books arrived. But the Honest Dog crew went above & beyond making it right. I finally got an opportunity to visit in person, and it was as awesome as I expected. A warm welcome and willing to talk books and recommendations. They're the Best! The selection is a lot more curated than an average used bookstore, so if you're expecting to find dozens of 50-cent copies of Stephen King, like most used shops, this isn't that. If your taste runs to indigenous themes/ authors, nature, dogs, local lore, you'll be in heaven! (or maybe hell, as you have to choose between so many great possibilities. )

We were staying nearby and had to check it out. I agree with other reviewers, best bookstore I've been to. The people that work here are amazing and very helpful. Such a great selection and wonderful atmosphere. I hope to be back many more times.
