The place to stroll into in Galax. If you've never been inside Chapters, you'll be thankful after your second visit. I say this because there's so many offerings, listing them doesn't work. Experiencing Chapters firsthand is a must!!

Best local bookstore. Very clean and friendly. They didnt have the book I was looking for but they were able to order it and gift wrap it in less than a week.

This is a great store right in the middle of downtown Galax, Virginia. This should be on the list of places to frequent for residents and visitors to Galax. Books, gifts, specialty food items and wine.

This is my favorite store, just for me!!! A couple of weeks ago they had food and wine tasting. Many samples of the food was serviced and a free recipe to make the item. They sold the main ingredient for each and the rest was easy to find in the grocery store. So far I have made 4 of the recipes and each were simply delicious. The Lemon Curd/apple tarts, Creamy chicken chili, yum!, Strawberry, tangerine cake with topping, and Granola mix, were easy to make, all of my friends and family loved each of them. Not to mention all the other things I bought for Christmas decorations and gifts. The store staff are wonderful, friendly, happy people loving what they do. The store is very clean, organized and smells so good when you walk in. It just says "come in and shop with us"!!
